Welcome to the soon-to-be home of East Coast Retro. ECR will be offering game and system repair and cleaning along with battery replacement, label replacement, and custom reproduction games.
It is my goal to service primarily the East Coast of Canada and shower the Atlantic Provinces with video game love. New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward and of course Newfoundland are the primary market for our services, but orders from the rest of Canada (or the U.S.) are welcome! The cost of shipping us a collection to clean/battery/label/etc. may be higher, though. Shipping within the East Coast region is more manageable, with local drop off and pick up available in Moncton, New Brunswick. You may also drop off and have your items shipped back. This has worked well for past customers travelling through the area, or able to have friends or family drop off. We aim to please, and you are dealing with a Maritimer: I am friendly and flexible.
We will be offering complete "game reconditioning" as well: Bring us your worn out and beat up games (marker/sticker on case, dead battery, poor connection (the physical contacts), a torn label, or all of the above!) and we will bring it back to near-original condition. The life of any game can be extended and the quality of your collection can be improved with game reconditioning! We only use professional grade electronics cleaning products when cleaning and treating pin connectors and contacts on game circuit boards.
We also offer custom reproduction games, or repros, of certain SNES games that were never released for retail, in English, in North America. An example of this type of game would be Secret of Mana 2 (Seiken Densetsu 3 in Japanese), a true classic from Square that was never released here. True collectors are not satisfied with playing this game on an emulator, and can now experience it on authentic hardware! Rejoice!
